Job Title: Project Estimator

Job Summary: The Project Estimator will evaluate commercial roofing projects by analyzing blueprints and specifications. The role involves entering project scope into our custom CRM, performing precise material and labor takeoffs, and preparing accurate cost estimates. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in blueprint interpretation, and the ability to deliver reliable estimates that support competitive bids and project success.

Responsibilities:

• Review invitations to bid from General Contractors across assigned regions and assess project feasibility.
• Interpret architectural drawings, specification books, and construction documents to define the complete scope of work.
• Accurately enter project details into the CRM platform, ensuring all scope elements are captured.
• Perform detailed takeoffs using in-house software to calculate material quantities, labor requirements, and associated costs.
• Create and refine roofing details using AutoCAD to support project documentation and design accuracy.
• Draft and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify project requirements and maintain clear communication with clients and their estimators.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial roofing estimating.
• Solid understanding of construction principles, with emphasis on commercial roofing systems.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural plans, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated proficiency in material takeoffs and cost estimating.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for technical drawings and detail creation.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and estimating software.
