Job Description

Our client, a leader in the electronics and chemical distribution industry, is seeking a Gas & Chemical Technician to join their team. As a Gas & Chemical Technician, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Front End Day Shift. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Gas & Chemical Technician

Location: Tualatin, OR

Pay Range: $27.00, $29.00 once converted to full-time after one year

Shift: Front End Day Shift (7:00AM - 4:00PM), Monday through Friday for training)

What's the Job?

• Support the technical demands of site gas and chemical equipment, ensuring optimal operation and safety compliance.
• Perform cylinder and drum changes on all chemical and gas systems, troubleshooting complex issues to resolve equipment problems.
• Maintain adherence to operational, safety, and maintenance procedures to ensure flawless execution.
• Support over 500 pieces of distribution equipment from various vendors, ensuring their proper functioning.
• Participate in safety processes, quality management, preventative maintenance, and training initiatives to foster a zero-incident culture.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance or equipment technician.
• Experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is preferred.
• Military mechanic training or Navy Nuclear Power School experience is a plus.
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test and comply with safety protocols, including drug testing.
