Job Title: Generative AI Developer with RPA Expertise
Location: Chantilly, VA
(Hybrid) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly capable and self-driven Generative AI Developer with RPA expertise to lead the design and implementation of intelligent automation solutions. This role blends the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to transform business operations by automating both unstructured and structured workflows.
You will independently drive solution architecture, development, and integration across GenAI and RPA platforms-delivering scalable, secure, and enterprise-ready automation solutions. You will also work on solutions that interpret large volumes of documentation (e.g., requirements, user manuals, test cases) and generate intelligent outputs such as test artifacts or summaries.
Job Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end GenAI RPA solutions independently with minimal supervision
- Integrate Generative AI capabilities (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, etc.) into automation workflows
- Engineer effective prompts, manage embedding strategies, and orchestrate LLM pipelines using tools such as LangChain or LlamaIndex
- Build intelligent bots and GenAI solutions that interact with internal/external systems, including those that understand structured and unstructured documentation (e.g., test cases, manuals, requirements)
- Automate complex business workflows involving document understanding, unstructured data parsing, and contextual decision-making
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand automation needs, and translate them into functional solutions
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, performance, and governance standards
- Create reusable components, documentation, and handoff materials for broader automation teams
- Stay current on advancements in GenAI, automation platforms, and AI-driven productivity tooling
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in software development or automation, including hands-on project leadership
- Strong proficiency with at least one RPA platform (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Power Automate)
- Proven experience building or integrating GenAI/LLM-based solutions (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, etc.), with the ability to extract insights from large document sets and generate outputs like test cases or summaries
- Expertise in Python (or equivalent scripting language) for workflow orchestration, API calls, and automation glue logic
- Experience working with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Azure Cognitive Search, etc.) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
- Familiarity with GenAI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment
Preferred Experience: - Experience with document processing/OCR tools (e.g., Azure Form Recognizer, ABBYY, Tesseract)
- Exposure to enterprise platforms like Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, or Workday
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and version control practices
- Experience applying LLMs to QA use cases, such as test case generation, test coverage analysis, or requirements traceability
- Knowledge of data privacy, prompt injection mitigation, and LLM safety considerations
Preferred Certifications: - UiPath Certified RPA Developer
- Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate
- OpenAI Developer credentials or equivalents
