Now Hiring Home Health Aides (HHA) & Personal Care Aides (PCA) in Brooklyn, NY

$19.10 - $21.14/hr | Full-Time & Part-Time Shifts Available
Hiring in: Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens & Westchester, NY - Assignments are in patients' homes within these service areas

Provide Care and Comfort with Dada Home Care

We're seeking compassionate and reliable Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to provide assistance with personal care, nutrition, and home support under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

What You'll Do as an HHA/PCA

• Assist patients with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support

• Prepare and serve meals, monitor intake, and assist with hydration

• Support patients with safe positioning and prescribed exercise routines

• Transfer patients safely between bed, chair, and wheelchair (with or without assistive devices)

• Provide emotional support, companionship, and orientation for confused patients

• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, intake & output)

• Perform light housekeeping: tidying rooms, laundry, making beds, dishwashing, and vacuuming

• Assist with self-administered medications as directed by the nurse

• Report any changes in patient condition promptly to supervisors

• Safely operate equipment such as walker, wheelchair, commode, hospital bed, and Hoyer lift

What We're Looking For

• Successful completion of a New York State DOH-approved HHA or PCA training program

• Valid HHA or PCA Certificate (NY State required)

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (for documentation and patient safety)

• Preferred Languages:
  English, Bengali, Arabic, Albanian, Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin), Creole, Farsi, Filipino, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, and Vietnamese

• Compassion, patience, and reliability

• Physical ability to assist patients (up to 50 lbs occasionally; frequent standing and walking required)

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

What HHAs & PCAs Do Not Do

• No catheter irrigation

• No sterile dressing applications

• No enemas or gastric lavage

• No use of heat applications

• No procedures outside the NYS DOH Scope of Practice
