Founded in 2014 by Jerome Jacques Marie Mage, Jacques Marie Mage is a Los Angeles-based producer of limited‑edition designer goods specializing in the micro‑production of luxury eyewear for a clientele of discerning tastes. With each new collection, JMM embraces a unique palette of precious materials, rich colors, and striking geometric forms, which cleverly reference and beautifully reconfigure the striking individuals, artistic movements, and world events of previous centuries. All JMM eyewear is ethically sourced and produced with the utmost respect for industry partners' environment and wellbeing. Role Overview The IT Director will oversee and manage the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring systems and technology solutions are aligned with business objectives. This role reports directly to the CFO and combines strategic leadership with hands‑on technical expertise, particularly in NetSuite and integrated business systems. The IT Director will support business operations, drive digital innovation, and enhance system efficiency, acting as both a builder and a strategic leader. Key Responsibilities IT Strategy & Planning Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with business objectives, including global expansion of the retail channel. Translate business requirements from Retail, Operations, and Finance into technical implementation specifications. Technology Infrastructure & System Management Oversee the maintenance, enhancement, and security of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, databases, and business applications. Configure, customize, and maintain NetSuite (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, dashboards, saved searches, reporting). Implement workflows and processes across Finance, Order‑to‑Cash, Fulfillment, Inventory, and other business functions. Ensure seamless system integration across ERP, Shopify, POS, CRM, WMS, and other platforms. Automate processes and maintain data integrity across systems. Technical Leadership & Hands‑On Execution Serve as a hands‑on technical‑functional hybrid: capable of implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, and fixing systems. Oversee external developers and NetSuite partners, reviewing their work to ensure quality and technical accuracy. Conduct independent audits of current systems and take over tasks as needed to support operational efficiency. Digital Transformation & Innovation Drive initiatives for digital innovation and process improvement across business operations. Support executive‑level decisions on digital tools and technology investments. Vendor & Partner Management Manage relationships with external IT vendors, service providers, and consultants. Negotiate contracts and ensure high‑quality delivery of technical solutions. Cybersecurity & Data Protection Ensure data security and privacy across all IT systems. Implement protocols to protect sensitive company and client information. Budget & Cost Management Collaborate with the CFO to manage the IT budget, optimizing technology investments and ensuring cost efficiency. Collaboration & Cross‑Department Engagement Work closely with Finance, Retail, Operations, and other departments to identify and implement IT solutions that support company strategy. Act as a trusted partner to the business, ensuring technology enables operational excellence. Key Requirements 5–8 years of hands‑on NetSuite experience (admin + developer), with direct implementation, customization, and integration experience. Proven experience as an IT Director, IT Manager, or senior IT professional, ideally in luxury, retail, consumer goods, or DTC brands. Experience with NetSuite partners or in‑house implementation teams. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cloud technologies, ERP systems, and data security. Technical proficiency to implement and troubleshoot systems independently, not just manage projects. Ability to oversee integrations with Shopify, POS, CRM, WMS, and other platforms. Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking, and cross‑department collaboration skills. Strong communication skills to engage with C‑suite executives and department heads. Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively. Familiarity with omni‑channel platforms, digital transformation initiatives, and business process optimization. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Preferred Experience in consumer goods, retail, or DTC brands. Experience leading both technical and functional aspects of NetSuite projects. Additional Information Jacques Marie Mage is a company that respects the uniqueness of each employee and offers everyone the means to find their place and thrive. We promote initiatives aimed at supporting professional equality for everyone. We strive to go above and beyond purely symbolic measures by building a culture focused on meaningful strategies aimed at creating an inclusive workforce. Benefits Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision plans with up to 100% employer contribution and FSA options. Retirement Plan: 401(k) with 4% company match after 90 days.
