Are you looking for a remarkable career opportunity? We are currently seeking a Seasonal Part Time Ski Hill Operations Team Member to join us at Christmas Mountain Village in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Nature lovers will appreciate the quiet majesty of the Wisconsin Dells and the area's many outdoor activities and skiers can take advantage of 16 downhill runs and a wide variety of trails. Swoosh down slopes suitable for beginners as well as Black Diamond slopes perfect for those seeking the ultimate winter thrill. Situated just west of the Dells, Christmas Mountain Village is a year-round playground that offers downhill ski runs and 27 holes of golf. As you approach the resort, you pass endless rows of picturesque pine trees, beautiful farmland, rolling hills, woods and golf course greens.

In this role, you will assist with the day to day work for the seasonal rental, retail and ski operations. You will ensure owners and guests have a memorable experience, hand in hand with their safety.

Schedule: Full Availability, including weekends and public holidays

What will I be doing?

  • Greet customers upon arrival at the rental desk, sell tickets for ski, snowboarding, and tubing rental equipment, and ensuring liability waiver documentation is completed correctly.
  • Fit customer's with rental equipment per established performance and safety standards, explain the proper use of the equipment, and provide the Ski Hill's necessary information.
  • Provide customer support for retail merchandise, up-sell, participate in inventory counts, stock products, and operate a cash register.
  • Assist in the proper cleaning and waxing, storage, and maintenance of skis, snowboards, and all rental equipment.
  • Execute the safe, efficient, and courteous loading and unloading of skiers and riders.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

What Are We Looking For:

To fulfill this role efficiently, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience with Ski Lift Operations, Ski Equipment Mechanics, Snowmaking, Ski or Snowboard Instruction, Ski Ticket Sales. and Winter Sports Equipment Rentals experience are preferred.
  • Ability to learn to operate Slope Grooming Equipment and basic Ski Hill Operations.
  • Safety conscious and able to make quick decisions.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors for long periods of time in adverse weather conditions during the winter.
  • Ability to swing chairs, shovel snow, and maintain load and unload ramps on chair lifts.
  • Excellent English verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Can climb stairs and work on ladders up to 40 feet, push/pull up to 50lbs, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and grasp, stoop, reach overhead with our without reasonable accommodations.
  • Able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
