Clinical Pharmacist

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Pharmacist is to provide oversight and ensure safety for all daily operations of the assigned patient care team. This role includes managing the assigned pharmacy staff, offering clinical support to patients, and ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed in accordance with state, federal, and board of pharmacy laws.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the assigned patient care team.
• Provide clinical support to patients and manage pharmacy staff.
• Ensure all prescriptions comply with state, federal, and board of pharmacy laws.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical reviews of pharmacotherapy for each patient.
• Screen for drug interactions, side effects, and compliance.
• Support drug administration to ensure evidence-based treatment plans.
• Act as primary intake for all new team referrals initiated by telephone.
• Foster strong relationships with patients and clinicians.
• Deliver exceptional customer service as per internal policies.

Essential Skills:

• PharmD degree.
• 2-3 years of experience in counseling and direct patient care.
• Proficient in customer service and counseling.
• Strong multitasking abilities and computer savvy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must live within an hour of the training site.
• Ability to handle call volumes up to 30 calls a day.

Work Environment:

The position offers a hybrid work schedule, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home, after a 3-4 week onsite training period. The work hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Cary, NC.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
