Middle School Special Education Teacher (Grades 6–8)

\nPediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students in a collaborative school setting in Fort Washington, PA. This specialized program provides a supportive, individualized environment for students with emotional, behavioral, and intellectual challenges.
\n
\nThis role is ideal for an educator who is dedicated to helping middle school learners build academic and social-emotional skills through engaging instruction, positive relationships, and individualized support.
\n
\n Key Responsibilities
\n• Provide standards-based instruction and academic support for middle school students receiving special education services.
\n• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and school teams.
\n• Adapt lessons and materials to meet a wide range of learning styles, strengths, and needs.
\n• Use data, feedback, and progress monitoring to guide instruction and interventions.
\n• Foster a classroom environment that promotes respect, self-confidence, and a love of learning.
\n
\n Qualifications
\n• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
\n• PA Special Education certification (7–12 or PK–12) preferred — PTS can assist eligible candidates in obtaining emergency certification.
\n• Experience working with students at the middle school level preferred.
\n• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
\n• Commitment to helping students achieve both academic and personal growth.
