Join a leading engineering firm in Hunt Valley, MD, as a Transportation Structural Project Engineer II. In this key role, you will lead the design and management of complex bridge and transportation structure projects, ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of major infrastructure projects while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with public agencies such as the Maryland Department of Transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and rehabilitation of bridge and transportation structure projects.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Oversee the preparation of contract bid documents and coordinate construction-phase services.
• Supervise and mentor design engineers and drafting personnel.
• Collaborate with subconsultants and serve as a technical advisor on structural design matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Maryland.
• 10-15 years of experience in structural design, including bridge or horizontal structure projects.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD bridge design standards.
• Experience working with the Maryland Department of Transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and structural design software.
• Deep understanding of structural design principles for steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete components.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years leading design engineers and drafting teams.
