\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts with options for 0700/1900 or 1930/0730
\n• Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for night shifts, Saturday and Sunday for day shifts
\n• Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on 30-bed unit (three 10-bed units)
\n• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract with 80% score requirement
\n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
\n• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
\n• Minimum 1 year Med-Surg experience required, telemetry experience preferred
\n• Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients
\n• May be required to precept nursing students
\n• Floating requirements to Multi Care Unit, Pediatric unit, and West Campus Med-Surg Tele
\n• Care for stable CPAP or BiPAP patients
\n• Dress code allows any scrub color except camouflage
\n• Charting system: Cerner
\n• Profile review and manager interview required
\n• Handle surgical patients (hip/knee replacements, bowel resections, hysterectomies), medical patients (MRSA, C-diff infections, COPD, pneumonia), and telemetry patients (chest pain)
\n• When no nursing assistants available, RN takes 3 patients and provides primary care
\n• May be subject to standby rotation during low census periods

The facility features modern monitoring technology with remote monitor technicians and maintains a 30-bed telemetry unit organized into three 10-bed sections. The organization emphasizes quality patient care across medical, surgical, and telemetry services while providing comprehensive orientation and educational support for nursing staff.
