• Location: Nashville, TN 37208 (Tennessee nursing jobs)\n
• Setting: Level II NICU & Well-Baby Nursery\n
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract\n
• Start Date: December 1, 2025\n
• End Date: March 2, 2026\n
• Duration: 13 weeks\n
• Shift: Day Shift, 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,780 - $1,910\n
• Patient Census: Average 6 neonates, 14-bed unit\n
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling\n
• Weekend Coverage: Required\n

\n\nNICU RN Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Tennessee RN license or multi-state compact license (Registered Nurse)\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent Level II NICU and well-baby nursery experience\n
• Experience attending deliveries preferred; training available for motivated candidates\n
• Ability to float to Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and other clinical units as needed\n
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including incarcerated patients\n
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, CPI (or MAB accepted)\n
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)\n
• First-time travel nurses and local applicants encouraged to apply\n

\n\nNICU Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to neonates in a Level II NICU and well-baby nursery\n
• Attend high-risk deliveries and serve as primary baby nurse during neonatal emergencies\n
• Support cross-training and LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) model implementation\n
• Float to L&D, Mother/Baby, and sitter roles as needed for clinical support\n
• Administer blood products, antibiotics, antivirals, and manage neonatal medication dosages\n
• Perform APGAR scoring, blood glucose monitoring, and provide breastfeeding support\n
• Operate specialized neonatal equipment: Bubble CPAP, HFNC, oscillators, ventilators, UAC/UVC catheters\n
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services\n
