Now Hiring: U.S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA, U.S.) – Accounting Operations Leader
Location: Remote
⏰ Employment Type: Full-time | Long-term Leadership Role
Compensation: Starting at $100,000/year + profit-sharing & performance bonuses

About the Role
We’re seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to lead our bookkeeping and AR/AP (Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable) operations. This key leadership position oversees all accounting delivery and client service functions — ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional client satisfaction.

As the Accounting Operations Leader, you will:
Manage a team of controllers and bookkeepers.
Serve as the primary escalation point for client issues.
Uphold our firm’s operational and financial excellence.

⚠️ Note: This is not a tax-focused role — it’s a hands-on leadership position centered on accounting operations, financial reporting, and client service management.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead all accounting and client service operations for bookkeeping and AR/AP
Manage and mentor controllers and bookkeepers across multiple client accounts
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and account management
Oversee client onboarding, monthly closes, and issue resolution
Act as the primary point for client escalations while maintaining strong, long-term relationships
⚡ Continuously improve accounting workflows, reporting systems, and visibility dashboards
Collaborate with leadership to manage incoming business and maintain capacity planning (no sales responsibilities)
✅ Uphold rigorous quality control standards and compliance best practices

Qualifications:
✅ Active CPA license (required)
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong operational expertise in bookkeeping, AR, and AP
Proven experience in leading and mentoring accounting teams (controllers, bookkeepers, or accountants)
️ Strong understanding of accounting systems, process automation, and client service management
️ Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
